Privacy Notice

Last Updated: 21st September 2026

1. Who we are

TicketRacer (https://ticket-racer.com/) is operated by S.C. RETEHCOM S.R.L ("we", "us", "our"). We decide why and how the personal data described here is used, which makes us the data controller under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

You can reach us about anything in this notice at info@ticket-racer.com.

2. What this notice covers

This notice covers what happens on ticket-racer.com. It does not cover the reseller websites you reach through our outbound links. Once you leave our site, that reseller's own privacy policy applies to everything you do there.

We never handle your purchase

TicketRacer does not sell tickets and is not part of any transaction. We never see your payment card, your billing address, or what you ultimately buy.

3. What we collect

Information you give us.

  • Your email address and the events or series you follow, if you sign up for alerts and news about them. We only email you once you have confirmed your address through the link we send. There is no account to create, and we ask for nothing else: no name, no phone number, no address.
  • Whatever you write to us, if you send an email to our contact address.

Information collected automatically.

  • Cookies and similar technologies, listed in full in section 4.
  • Analytics about how the site is used, through Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity. Both load only after you accept analytics cookies. Clarity also records how you move through a page, including clicks, scrolling, and mouse movement, and uses that to build heatmaps and session replays.
  • Error reports, through Sentry, when something on the site breaks. These carry technical detail such as the page address, the browser, and the code path that failed.

We do not collect special category data, such as health, political, or biometric information, and we have no use for it.

4. Cookies we set

A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser. Below is every cookie TicketRacer sets, grouped the same way as the choices on the cookie banner.

Essential

No consent needed. The site cannot work without these.

Changing your mind. Select Cookie settings in the footer of any page. The banner reopens with your current answer and you can accept more, accept less, or refuse everything optional. Withdrawing is as easy as consenting, and takes effect immediately. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings, though blocking the essential ones will stop parts of the site from working.

5. How your choice controls the tags

We use Google Tag Manager to load analytics and advertising tags, and we run Google Consent Mode v2. Before you answer the banner, every consent signal is set to denied: analytics storage, advertising storage, ad user data, and ad personalisation are all withheld. Only the categories you accept are switched to granted, and only then do the matching tags store anything. If you later withdraw, the signals return to denied.

6. Why we use it, and our legal basis

  • Running the site and keeping it secure (essential cookies). These are strictly necessary to deliver a service you asked for, so they are exempt from the consent requirement and rest on our legitimate interests.
  • Remembering your display preference (the theme cookie): your consent.
  • Sending alerts and news you signed up for: your consent.
  • Understanding how the site is used, so we can improve it (analytics and session replay): your consent.
  • Measuring whether an advert brought you here: your consent.
  • Diagnosing errors: our legitimate interest in keeping the site working.

Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawing does not undo processing that already happened before you withdrew.

7. Who else handles your information

We do not sell personal data, and we never pass your email address to resellers or advertisers. We do rely on these service providers:

  • Google Ireland Limited, for Tag Manager, Analytics 4, and advert conversion measurement.
  • Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, for Clarity heatmaps and session replays.
  • Functional Software, Inc. (Sentry), for error monitoring.
  • DigitalOcean, LLC, which runs the servers and the database that hold the site, in its Amsterdam region.
  • Resend, Inc., which delivers the emails we send you.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

8. Where your information is held

The site and its database run on servers in Amsterdam, in the European Union, and the data we hold ourselves stays there. Our other providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States: Google and Microsoft for analytics and advertising, Sentry for error reports, Resend for the emails we send you, and DigitalOcean, which is incorporated in the United States and may access the servers from there for support and maintenance. Those transfers rely on the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or on Standard Contractual Clauses where that decision does not apply.

9. How long we keep it

  • Alert sign-ups: until you unsubscribe, using the link in every alert we email you, or by emailing info@ticket-racer.com. A sign-up you never confirm is deleted 30 days after our last confirmation email. Once you unsubscribe we delete the list of what you follow and keep only your address on a do-not-mail list, so we never email it again unless you sign up afresh.
  • Cookies: for the periods set out in section 4, or until you clear them.
  • Analytics and advertising data: held by Google and Microsoft under the retention settings on our accounts and their own policies.
  • Error reports: kept only as long as we need them to fix the fault.

10. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal data we hold about you, and give you a copy;
  • correct anything inaccurate;
  • delete it;
  • restrict or object to how we use it;
  • hand it to you, or to another provider, in a portable format;
  • withdraw a consent you previously gave.

Email info@ticket-racer.com and we will answer within one month. There is no charge.

If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Romanian supervisory authority, the Autoritatea Nationala de Supraveghere a Prelucrarii Datelor cu Caracter Personal (ANSPDCP), at dataprotection.ro. If you live elsewhere in the EU, you can complain to your own national authority instead.

11. Children

TicketRacer is not aimed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us their information, write to us and we will delete it.

12. Links to reseller sites

Some outbound links carry an affiliate code. That code tells the reseller the visit came from TicketRacer, and if you buy, the reseller or its affiliate network may report the sale and its value back to us so our commission can be worked out. We are not told who you are, what your contact details are, or how you paid.

If you accepted marketing cookies, the affiliate code also carries the advert click identifier from the ticket_racer_campaign cookie, so a reported sale can be matched to the advert that brought you here. Without that consent the code names only the event page you clicked from.

Our Terms of Service explain the rest of our relationship with resellers.

13. Changes to this notice

We will post any change on this page and update the date at the top. If a change materially affects you, we will say so prominently on the site.
